Join professional photographer and teacher Julie Stauffer for an immersive 5-night, 4-day iPhone photography workshop set in the stunning Gers region of France in the town of Bassoues.
Each morning begins with hands-on instruction designed to help you get the most out of your iPhone camera. You’ll learn how to capture beautiful, high-quality images and use built-in editing tools to transform them from good to exceptional. We’ll also explore the powerful Snapseed app, focusing on adjustments, filters, and creative stylization techniques that elevate your photos to a different level—ready for printing when you return home.
Beyond traditional photography, you’ll be introduced to additional iOS apps that allow you to creatively transform your images into works of art—such as watercolor and oil painting effects, pencil sketches, distressed styles, and more.
Each afternoon, we’ll head out on curated excursions to practice your new skills in real-world settings. Julie will provide guidance in the field, offering both group instruction and one-on-one support throughout the experience. Mornings may also include early photo walks, and we’ll gather as a group to share and discuss our work in a supportive environment.
This intimate workshop is limited to just 10 participants to ensure personalized attention and a rich learning experience.
In addition to photography, you’ll enjoy the best of the region’s culture and cuisine. Expect exceptional meals, with opportunities for experiences such as a market experience, winery visit and tasting, and exploration of the area’s rich architectural history.
